Dev Log 3 - Scheduling My Work
Organization and Scheduling is kind of like the only thing I got going for me at this point. In terms of my upcoming project I've been using my calendars a lot more for 2 major goals for both my team's and my own success. The first is balancing real life responsibilities and my working on my part for the project and meeting with my team. Since this is a smaller scope project our team does require more consistent meetings and discussions because one small change can lead to the butterfly effect.
Working on coding also requires me to have everyone on track while I pick at my own in engine work, just because people are not working in engine doesn't mean we don't have deadlines because of the major amount of art and music needed from the team. So having myself in control of what I'm doing also allows me to reach out and help others or work on docs whenever we are falling behind on other areas, and vice versa. To have a schedule gives us a nice view into what can stay in scope as we keep progressing and seeing if anything needs to be cut.
